He’s silent as they make their way out of the clinic, drifting back through the shop toward the street to take the directions the doctor had given them toward the pharmacy. Only Ira’s nudge of an elbow seems to pull him out of his thoughts, arm squeezing hers gently as he tilts his head toward her with a soft snort. “[say]I’ll be honest, haven't actually been to a doctor for a while with anyone else.[/say]” Or in general, but that’s beside the point. “[say]We did survive the test though.[/say]” And he leans in to press his cheek to hers gently before withdrawing so that she can speak.

He nods, fully aware that it was an intention on her part, but at least they could get the full allotment of the medicine off the bat. She, at least, would start to feel better soon. “[say]I wasn’t thinkin’ it, Ira.[/say]” It’s been a while since he’s dropped her first name, usually prone to giving nicknames or pet names. So he continues it on with a soft little “[say]we can figure out the rest of it later, yeah?[/say]” Talk of money and illness was wearing on him, especially when he knows that there’s no answer for his illness yet but fixing the symptoms. But he does lean forward to press a kiss to her lips, trying to bypass his bad mood.
She understands his bad mood and the weariness, as she's been there herself many times before and really doesn't like having to talk about it either. But perhaps she is just so used to it, having been forced to face it over and over. However, she nods in agreement that they can figure it out later and she wraps her arms around his waist as he leans in to give her a kiss. [say]"Just know I'm here for you too, mh?"[/say] She mumbles softly before pressing her lips back to his in a second kiss for as long as her struggled breathing will allow it. They'll just have to look after each other.

The worry does gnaw on her, though. About the nature of Uldren's illness and she does what she can to push the thoughts about the worst away while they continue their walk towards the pharmacy, but she drifts into silence as well for a moment. She has heard about people getting better from the algae disease on their own with proper care, but some had not and with her very bad experience with people close to her being ill, she can't help the anxiety twisting in her stomach. Also not knowing fully if her own illness was related to the new one in any way didn't help.

[say]"I do vote that the next date won't be with a doctor, though. Maybe just a romantic stroll, or drinks! Or whatever it is people usually do."[/say] She speaks up with a soft chuckle in another attempt at pull them towards a lighter topic. [say]"Or just be lazy and snug at home under a heap of blankets... That sounds quite nice right now."[/say]
“[say]I know y’are.[/say]” Uldren murmurs as Ira pulls back from the kiss she places against his lips for a second time, content to let that take over all of his thoughts other than everything else. And for a moment, it works, it picks up his mood as they continue their trek to the pharmacy, arm in arm. And while she worries about him, he returns the thought back onto her – after all, her symptoms in his opinion were more worrisome.

His were only worrisome because of having no way to clear it up, but he believed himself to be in good enough health he wouldn’t die from it. But for her? He’s not so sure. So it had been important to him that she got seen, and any way he could make that easier for her even if it were finding out an unsatisfactory answer for his own illness was a part of it.

He does bark a soft raspy laugh at her suggestion, giving her a squeeze as he readjusts to wrap an arm around her shoulders. “[say]What about… Drinks and a stroll, and top the night off with bein’ curled up under the blankets?[/say]” He asks, flashing her a playful smile, letting the shadows of his worries bury within him for another few moments.
They both seem to rather worry about the other than themselves. Even if Uldren's symptoms didn't seem very bad right now, she knows they can potentially get worse. Though so can her own. Much worse and she is very aware of the risks, but wishing she could be happily ignorant about it. It's one reason why she rather focus on Uldren, so she doesn't have to think about it. Though the major reason is that she just wants him to be alright as well.

The talk about future date plans keeps her mind from most of the gnawing worries and Uldren's laugh helps lift her further from it. She wraps her arm around his waist and gives him an amused look with a playful smile of her own. [say]"Oh, creative as usual. I love it."[/say] Some of that familiar teasing spark returns to her eyes. [say]"Sounds like it'd be a very busy date, but we've had that before. Was fun."[/say] Her hand dips down to his hip for a second before sliding back up to the side of his waist and she tries to keep herself from smirking too much. Even with all the discomfort from the illness, her flirty teasing is never far away.

She hugs herself as close to him as she can and still be able to walk. Her attention is, perhaps fortunately, briefly stolen by the sign outside a door to a store up ahead along the street. [say]"That might be the place, yeah?"[/say]  She nods towards it, trying to remember the name of the pharmacy the doctor told them about.
He keeps his arm around her as they walk, head tilting toward her as he captures that familiar spark in her gaze. “[say]It was tons of fun.[/say]” He agrees softly, flashing her a sharper equally as playful smile as her hand dips down to his hip before returning up and Uldren’s gaze grows a small amount sharper as he regards her playfully. He’s just about to make a comment when she hugs herself close to him and his arm gives her a gentle squeeze precisely when she nods toward the building.

He looks up, letting his green gaze scan it as he pins the name to the one the doctor had scribbled on the sheet, fumbling in his pocket for it to double check. “[say]Yeah that’s gotta be it.[/say]” He agrees, clutching the paper like it was the most important thing in the world right now, stepping up to the doors and letting her go so that he can open the door for her first before they slip inside.

It looks like another medical building, but there’s a few other things on the walls – like snacks and drinks – but at the very back there’s the counter they’re supposed to go to. It isn’t very busy, two people in line, and Uldren can’t help but to look around the pharmacy as he gets them in line.
She narrows her eyes a little at his sharper gaze and there's enough time for a temptation to flare up to go further with the teasing just before her attention is directed towards the sign up ahead. Had they been anywhere else, she would have gladly tried. Also if it wasn't for the fact that she can't really breathe properly at the moment, as much as she wants to be able to ignore that part.

Her arm remains around him, however, until they reach the door and she has to let go of him to get inside. She looks around curiously at first, but lets out a quiet sigh as they get into yet another line and it doesn't take many seconds for her to start feeling both restless and a bit weary of having to stand. There is a dangerous type of boredom as well that attaches itself to the mischievous, teasing spark that lingers and she steps close to Uldren as if to lean against him for some support. Her hand, however, sneaks up under the edge of his shirt and her fingers brush softly against his skin on his lower back until her hand once again returns to the side of his waist.

[say]"Sure is an awful lot of waiting around today. Hopefully it won't take long."[/say] She says quietly as she she sends Uldren a teasing glance, eyes narrowed in a smirk, then continues to look around the store all innocently. Her fingertips drawing little circle patterns against his skin in the meantime.
Lines upon lines, though he supposes he can’t be too surprised given the amount of people that lived on the Plates or traveled here in the hopes of getting in to see a doctor wherever they could. He supposes they’re in the same boat, at least, even if it had been brash and impulsive – something he certainly won’t regret later if the medicine starts to work for Ira. Either way, her arm remains around him and he remains against her, offering support between the two of them as Uldren comes to a stop at the back of the line, head tilting slightly toward her as her hand starts to drift up his skin under his shirt and jacket, and the arm around her seems to twitch as it grows more possessive around her.

A huff leaves him, a soft snort as he nods and glances back to the line that still hasn’t moved, before his green gaze sharpens and looks at her more fully even as she avoids his gaze, pretending to be innocent as she looks around the store. “[say]Hopefully not. All this waiting has me feeling cooped up.[/say]” He drawls easily, looking away from her as his hand remains just as possessive, while it’s his turn to pretend to look innocently around the store.
It really hadn't been what she expected of this trip, to end up visiting a doctor. Even less so getting the much needed medicine. Even with all the anxiety and discomfort surrounding it all, she is still relieved to actually have gotten some help before things got worse. There is still some lingering guilt over having tried to hide the severity of her illness and it just goes back to not wanting to worry Uldren. Though she realises that is unavoidable anyway and she'll have to try and break out of the habit of pretending things are fine.

Pretending doesn't always have to be something serious or bad, however. Like pretending she is absolutely not trying to see how far she can take the teasing at the moment. At least she has enough sense to not pull Uldren into an intense, deep kiss, even if she would very much like to. Very wrong place and time for that, but the thought makes it difficult for her to keep the innocent mask on. Especially when his arm twitches around her and his comment manages to cause a small smirk to grow on her lips. A quiet chuckle escaping her as well.

[say]"M'sorry to hear."[/say] She whispers softly as she tilts her head sideways to rest it lightly against his shoulder, her fingers still drawing little patterns against his side. [say]"It does start to feel a bit cramped in here."[/say] She works hard to try and get the innocent mask back as she glances around the store. At least the other people seem far too busy with their own things to even spare them a glance. At least the waiting is a bit more amusing. For her, at least. If not at risk of slowly drifting towards frustrating instead.
It’s distracting, and pleasantly so, as the line for the moment seems to go absolutely nowhere. But she draws the little designs on his side and there’s goosebumps that blossom along his skin in their wake, the briefest of a flush seen beneath the edges of the scarf they share. His arm remains tight and sturdy around her as her voice reaches him, as the warmth of her head presses against his shoulder, and he can’t help the soft snort that leaves him.

He can’t help the way his head tilts down to rest against hers, starting to whisper for her ears only. “[say]Think we’d get kicked out or express through the line?[/say]” It’s a purred whisper, one that has his focus entirely on her face now as Uldren toys with his tongue ring, his green gaze sharp as he focuses on her momentarily given that the line has moved and now they’re only one person away from their pick up spot.
As her gaze drifts back to him after scanning the room, she can't hide the grin when she catches a glimpse of the flush on his neck and the teasing spark in her eyes seems to shine all the brighter. It reminds her of that evening at the bar, where they also tested how much they could get away with and she adjusts to turn her face a bit more towards him when he leans his head against hers.

[say]"From how stiff and boring the Platers usually seem to be, I think we'd risk being kicked out."[/say] She whispers back, but doesn't withdraw anyway. Her eyes fixate on his mouth as he starts playing with his piercing and her face inches closer to his, her fingers stop their movements to press against him in a light grip at his side. There is a tiny voice somewhere in her head telling her she shouldn't do this, but she does find it very difficult to not to. Uldren being like a magnet to her, especially when they both start picking up on the teasing playfulness from one another.

Her other hand moves up as if to adjust the scarf around him, her fingers brushing softly against his neck as she does so. [say]"Though we might be saved by it being our turn soon."[/say] She continues in another whisper after managing to tear her eyes from Uldren for a second to glance at the shrinking line ahead of them, but her head remains on his shoulder and her face close to his as she looks back into his eyes as if the rest of the room didn't matter.
