[CURRENT] Health Hazard: Algae Bloom

This is a broadcast health emergency message from the Unk'Kotoll Health Department.

There has been an algae bloom in the Plate reservoirs, and all waterways and canals surrounding Ok'Kotoll. While we investigate we recommend taking certain safety measures. Try to minimize your contact with contaminated water, and boil all water before consuming.

We will come forth with more information when we know more. If you are experiencing problems, please go see your doctor.

We have determined the algae to be the rare Hemuskin Algae. Unfortunately our reservoirs lack the necessary conditions to naturally clear it, and evidently our filters are not effective against it.

The solution lies in a somewhat unexpected place: mud eels. They carry the natural predator of the algae in their gills. After harvesting the isopods from them the mud eels will be more susceptible to damage from the algae, and as such, we've decided to temporarily house them in a few bath houses down in the Drench. We will need your help in repurposing these bath houses.

This task is vital to the recovery of our reservoirs.

First up will be the Two Moon Soakhouse in Light's Edge on the 4th day of High Drenak.

We are happy to announce that the harvesting of the isopods from the mud eels is progressing at a satisfactory pace. As we progress we are beginning to approach the next step in the cleansing process.

We once again require the help of our people. As such, we offer two bounties:

• For every five mud eels humanely and safely captured and delivered alive to the bath houses you will receive 3 Lasti
• For every ten pearling plants safely uprooted and brought in good condition to Warehouse #14 by Highway's End you will receive 2 Lasti
