While the Garafan family has all but died out, married into the Kusund name, Melund is a living legacy of the old ways. She is a symbol of a different time, and many hold her up as a standard of better, more civilised times. She is as self serving as any other Noble, and commands a certain sway over Shaju and Kosbra specifically.
