Ever heard the saying 'the hills have eyes?'
A small town called Darkana on the outskirts of the infamous city of New Orleans had gone quiet after the Great Fires in the late 1700s and was abandoned completely after the smallpox outbreak wiped the rest of the town out in the 1800s. They had once been known for an eclectic mix of cultures and identities coming in from across oceans and states, creating the melting pot of myths, religions and magics that after these disasters, seemed all but lost. One hundred years ago, an anonymous donor paid billions to revitalize Darkana, bringing it back to a life far different than what it'd once been before. The town still built and bustled, every building a memorial of tradition and culture, but at its center this time stood a sprawling, grand and mysterious academy: the D'Arkane Institute of Magic. It is said that only those with wealth and power are allowed within - like a secret society, but standing right there in plain sight. That's not what has captured more and more attention though. It's the 'unexplained phenomena' that seem to spawn from the Institute that makes those around it wonder... Here, it's that the -halls- have eyes, and it's a mystery who's watching. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ?
