The groups split into three sections, each with their own crowds formed around them to separate them. In the left side we have @Ira and @Savera, with a person standing in the middle to help prevent the fight from starting until the go ahead is given.
Once the two women have entered the space and taken up their designated sides, the person steps off to the side to signify that the fight begins.
ROUND ONE, whoever posts first gets to start us off with the post order!
At the bottom of your post, please put a short recap of what your character does and whether it's an attack or defense!
The pairs are announced and the wait is finally over, though oddly enough Ira still has not started feeling nervous about the fight. Perhaps too much angry energy and she's not there to show off, nor gain any kind of fame. Part of her doesn't even care if she's out within half a minute.
She finishes pulling on her pair of fingerless leather gloves as she steps into her section of the arena, holding the wooden stave in a sturdy grip while observing her opponent. Trying to make up a quick mental plan on how to go about the fight, if it's even possible to think out something head of time or just go with reactions when things happen.
Thought there isn't much time to think about it now and as soon as the person in the middle steps aside to give them the clear to go, Ira quickly moves forward in hopes of giving Savera as little time as possible to act first. With the stave in her left hand, she takes a backhand swing at Savera, aiming the strike across the face.
Ira moves forward to attack and aims a strike with the stave to the left side of Savera's head.

Vera isn't here to show off, either: if she was, she would have brought her gun. Instead she has a slender sword, weighted well to pack a punch, long and deadly sharp. Maybe not the most sporting of weapons, but they aren't here for sport - they're here for bloodshed and victory.
Now she watches Ira approach through narrow, thoughtful eyes, taking in the long staff and trying to calculate her best approach. The longer length makes it hard to counter, giving an advantage to the Drench girl, but Vera has tricks up her sleeves. Literally: as Ira surges forward, Vera whips a long dagger into her left hand, raising both in attempt to parry the sudden blow. At the same time her right leg swipes and foward, hoping to use their brief proximity to land a kick on Ira's knee.
Vera attempts to parry Ira with her sword + parrying dagger, and kicks out with her right foot at Ira's knee.

She had already seen the sword, but the sudden dagger takes her a bit by surprise. There's not much time to think much about it, however, when the leg swipes towards her. Ira tries to turn her body sideways and takes a step back with the targeted leg, but isn't fast enough. The impact makes her stagger in the step, but she pushes through the pain with the help of the rising adrenaline when she puts weight back on the leg.
Still not wanting to give Savera much time, hoping to take advantage of the successful hit to the head, she quickly pulls the stave away from the blades to strike again. Swiping at the head once more with the end of the stave, so she has the length of it up between herself and Savera in an attempt for protection against a blade strike as she follows with taking a step forward to drive her fist into Savera's jaw.
Ira strikes with the stave again the same as before, but also prepares to parry a potential attack from the blades. She also aims a punch at Savera's jaw with her fist.

Ow. The blow may not quite catch her head, but Savera's parry isn't successful enough to block out all the vibrating pain that courses down her arms as steel hits wood, making her bones rattle in her skin. Growling through a grimace, the soldier is at least afforded some satisfaction when her kick lands, a fierce grin invisible underneath the mask she wears.
Ira is swift in her retaliation, sweeping back out with the length of the staff. This time instead of parrying Savera will attempt to evade, ducking down and forward to hopefully dodge the weapon (and the subsequent punch) while simultaneously striking up and out with sword and knife. From a crossed-arm position she sweeps both blades: the sword slices toward Ira's right leg, hoping to hobble the opponent; the dagger juts upwards, towards her hands, trying to hit flesh and force her foe to drop the staff.
Vera tries to duck and lunge/slide forward to evade Ira's attacks, making a cross-body swipe with both her weapons, trying to get Ira's right leg with her sword, or left hand with her knife.

Ira hits Savera with her stave and hits, dealing 2hp damage.
Savera's dodging is unsuccessful.
Savera attempts to attack with her knives, but misses.
Ira goes to punch Savera in the jaw and hits, dealing 1hp damage.
Savera: 2hp
Ira: 8hp
(For the future please try to limit your posts to 2 actions, eg one parry and one hit. Makes it easier to roll for <3)
Her attacks connects and Ira is just thinking of continue to follow with more, when Savera moves in before she can. Ira quickly withdraws, more or less taking a leap backwards and narrowly escapes the slicing blades. The blades and the threat of getting cut open do start to discourage her from getting in close up in Savera's face again, even if it had worked out so far.
Instead, she remains a few steps away and tries to make use of the reach she's got with the stave, aiming to jab Savera hard in the chest with one end before trying to quickly withdrawing further in case the blades comes swinging her way again.
Ira aims a jab with the end of the stave at Savera's chest and will attempt to evade her opponent's next attack.
