Of The Season
Quote
"Tell Dr. Nate that Gale sent you, and he still owes me for the mushrooms. Except that it takes you a while to reach the clinic, and by the time you do your fever is spiking, and so instead of the requisite message you instead tell the poor soul who greets you that 'A gale'a m'shrooms sent me cus'a my hands.'" - Zephyr in Oh help me, please doctor, I'm damaged
Luck appears to be on Lilliane’s side for the second time in this maze, her ability to evade the mirrors and keep from running face first into them is perfect as she slips from room to room, passing by the funny shaped mirrors without any issues encountering a dead end. In fact, she has so much luck, that she manages to make it through to the other side where the exit sings a little song of completing the maze and hoping that the patrons have a good night and enjoyed the maze.
Lilliane has made it completely through the maze! :D
Sigfried, however, doesn’t have as good of luck with the mirrors. Perhaps too excited by the prospect of such a little event, the first turn the man makes brings him right into a dead end hallway with mirrors that are thin and wide and manipulate the reflection within them into the shape of a beanpole.
The laughter that follows will most likely be heard throughout the cabinet. Siegfried makes different movements and postures that show a different result in the mirror. He took a lot of time.
Only then did he set off again and tried to move carefully in one direction and scan the corridors. He stopped again and again to make fun of himself. Maybe he will stay here a little longer.
His laughter is heard from around the mirror maze, but its infectious and boisterous as well, and something about it truly seems to increase his luck in some aspects. Rather than reaching an immediate dead end this time, Sigfried manages to make it a quarter of the way through the maze, turning down yet another little hallway only to encounter another dead end.
And rather than find similar mirrors as the first one, this time they almost seem broken (they aren’t, however) but it does distort the features of Sigfried into seven varying panes, each one with a bit of a different Z pattern to them, shifting his body this way and that in his reflection.
Sigfried has made it a quarter of the way through the maze!
Again a loud laugh and Siegfried starts to move dancing in front of the mirror. Any attempt at humiliation, should there be any, is completely ignored by Siegfried. He sees only the fun here. The narrow aisle does not bother him. He sees the whole thing here as an option to be able to see his costume in all its facets and simply indulge in the good mood. He does not go any further, the broken mirror that splits so fascinates him. He does not understand why people fear such things here.
After some time he goes but dan but further. But not without turning around himself again and again and making funny noises or even humming to himself.
Everybody wants to be famous Nobody wants to be nameless, aimless
Of course the most impressive game draws the feathered and painted Kala. The lights call to the artist - perhaps it’s the shimmer, the brightness, the way it makes everything else fade away for a moment. Even so, she doesn’t immediately head to the entrance, but lingers out front for a good couple of minutes, one hip popped to the side and arms crossed. She looks back and forth, between this game and the one with free food - I mean come on, free noodles??
But the risk of spilling something on this is exsquisite costume too great, so it seems she’ll just have to go hungry for a bit. Sauntering towards the house of mirrors, Kala takes the offered good luck from the woman and enters without hesitation.
Tenderest touch leaves the darkest of marks And the kindest of kisses break the hardest of heart
Even though Sigfried reaches another dead end, the game continues on however long it takes him to continue, reorienting himself and starting down another path of mirrors. This time, he makes it yet another quarter of the way through before finding another dead end of silly mirrors, each one decorated with mimicking masks.
Kala on the other hand, despite her optimism with the hall of mirrors and her beautiful costume glinting in the reflection of each and every one of them, ends up at an immediate dead end with silly mirrors that make her incredibly thin and very tall (think yzma with the feathers in the reflection she sees.) She can definitely turn around and try again to make it further!
Sigfried made it another quarter of the way and encounters a dead end! He is currently halfway through the maze.
Kala hits an immediate dead end but can turn around and continue through the maze!
Even more different masks. Siegfried took off his mask for my moment. He looked at himself with the masks hanging there and smiled broadly and scowled at each mask. Once again he made a joke of it. In the meantime, the labyrinth had become a minor matter. He walked slowly again after he could tear himself away from the masks. Once again, he was too easily distracted.

It’s the shinies, isn’t it? Too much glitter and glam and bam! a girl can get lost in a fun house.
Okaaay, not lost, per se, but at a dead end. And her huff of immediate frustration blows warm against the clear, cool glass as she glares at her own reflection before pivoting imperially. Headed back the way she came, Kala’s clicks and clacks of heel edges against the only unmirrored surface (not that she’d mind an exciting little flash to an unsuspescting stranger to spice things up), echo as she finds herself at the beginning again. This time, she takes another route, turning the opposite way in hopes of finding the right path through the maze.
Damn, though… she pauses for a moment, to check herself out. Yeah, she looks good.

Oh things begin to turn around for our two mirror maze participants. Sigfried, despite the difficulties at the beginning of the maze, lucks out the second he tears himself away from the distracting masks. And before he knows it, he’s reached the end of the maze – the light buzzing sounds of music in the air designating the exit to those that have passed through successfully. Good job!
Kala also finds herself having some good luck with the maze – the reset of pulling herself away from the flashiness, the sound of her heels as she finds the right path after right path becomes like some kind of mantra, and before she knows it, she’s over halfway through the maze. Up ahead are two paths, right and left, each one with a large wide mirror for her to check herself out in fully.
Sigfried has made it completely through the maze!!
you want a revelation, you wanna get it right but it's a conversation I can't have tonight
There’s nothing like the sweet, sweet feeling of success - something that seems to rarely come to the tattoo artist’s apprentice. Life is hard in the Drench, particularly for the lone Palladolian, but still, she forges on, and it’s no different for this funhouse maze of mirrors. Kala comes to a fork in her current path and pauses, eyeing the left and right options with narrowed eyes and slightly pursed lips. Pivoting slightly towards each giant mirror, she looks at her left side and then her right side - and then again. Finally deciding that her left profile looks marginally better than her right, she saunters down that way, hoping that she’s chosen correctly.
