last call
It’s a great night. At least, it should be. Until the drinks flow a bit too much and the crowds grow a bit to antsy once the sun sets, rumors spilling from loose lips from those that dwell both above and below.

The guards and enforcers grow tired, grow frustrated, grow increasingly more and more stressed out as the night spurs on. There’s a line of enforcers stationed at the edge of the party, a quiet protection against anyone getting further into the Core sector unannounced.

That is, until people start to leave, and the crowds grow too rowdy – looking back on it, it’s all good fun, but the rumor mill has the enforcers on edge after what occurred to the construction of the sixth plate and they soon find as people continue to get closer and closer to them when the Last Call is announced, that their comfort levels begin to dwindle.

And then, all it takes is one over enthusiastic reveler stumbling into the armored chest of a too green enforcer, the bacchanal shifting into a battleground in moments.

Suddenly, it’s a wall of enforcers against the people, batons, and other crowd control weaponry out in the open. There’s a multitude of lacking communication in the swell, enforcers not knowing what started the fight diving in the second the revelers turn into fighters, and before long? It’s a crush of people both trying to get out while the enforcers try to keep the offenders within.

Of course, the people within are slippery and some of them too drunk to do much else other than overcrowd and push, and in the heated moment of the scuffle the enforcers start to herd the party goers out and out into the trams that lead down to the Drench, taking every chance they can for getting as many people out as possible.

Only a few manage to announce that they’re Platers, managing to escape out of the fight, dragged out – but for some Platers? Well, the lockdown might be lifted for the night as you get shoved down into the Drench, but the trams are immediately shut from returning for the night and the next day, until the investigation is completed.

The Masquerade is over!

    A few things:
  • You do not have to wrap up your masquerade threads because the end is posted. Take as long as you’d like to finish them!
  • In the same vein, if you missed out on any games you wanted to participate in, you can still participate in them! It’ll just be before the fight happens.
  • If you don’t wish to participate in the fight, it will be assumed that your character left before the fight began, which is totally fine too!

  • What happens next:
  • If you’re a Drencher, you’re getting sent back down into the Drench.
  • If you’re a Plater, you can decide whether you manage to get out of the fight or crush of people to remain on the Plates or get sent down into the Drench.
  • You can decide whether you’re an immediate part of the fight when it starts, we don’t mind if you are or aren’t a part of it! You can also decide whether you get any injuries or none at all. Chances are once the initial push is through, the rest will be more controlled.
  • The tram from the Drench to the Plates will be closed for the next two days, so if you’re a Plater, you might be trapped down there for a bit!
  • Lockdown is still lifted for the night while the enforcers investigate what occurred during the party.

Posting is open once again for any post-fight reactions once your characters are away from the Core.

And lastly, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
