Quote
"Tell Dr. Nate that Gale sent you, and he still owes me for the mushrooms. Except that it takes you a while to reach the clinic, and by the time you do your fever is spiking, and so instead of the requisite message you instead tell the poor soul who greets you that 'A gale'a m'shrooms sent me cus'a my hands.'" - Zephyr in Oh help me, please doctor, I'm damaged
All clothes are found, not that she had that many to begin with, and she is quickly dressed and ready to go. She doesn't bother trying to tangle out her own damp hair and just settles with tying it up out of the way in a messy knot. at the back of her head. It will just have to dry like that over the rest of the evening and she could deal with it more proper the next day. Even if she did try to comb it out, the warm humidity outside would just mess it up in an instant anyway.
The offered elbow has her huff out a small laugh and she shakes her head, but takes it anyway with a smirk. "Yeah, definitely thinking of making a habit out of being stolen." It is mostly a joke. Mostly. Perhaps she can get stolen on her few days off, at least. Even if she is having a very fun and exciting time tonight, she also doesn't want to risk running into trouble with her jobs. "Well, then. Let's see if this place of yours is as good as you say." She gives Uldren another smirk and returns the elbow nudge from before.

The joke does spark a laugh to leave Uldren as Ira takes his elbow and he takes them through the door, ensuring that he locks up before they’re fully on their way. “I can arrange it.” He teases softly, guiding them along the alleys toward the restaurant, huffing a laugh as she nudges him back.
“I think you’re gonna love it.” He flashes her another smirk to match her own, taking them down yet another alley until neon lights show the place they're heading toward. The door is already open, hoping to alleviate the heat, and inside it isn’t as busy as it might have been a couple of hours before.
He guides her in, the restaurant decked out in varying weathered parts taken from the floods to decorate, giving it a somewhat edgy feeling. He guides them in and directly toward a booth, waving his free hand toward the waiter that greets them with a wave and a knowing look. Menus sit on the booth waiting for them to look over and Uldren slides hers toward her before opening his own, immediately scouting the meal he’d mentioned to Ira earlier. “Alright, let’s see… Mac’s gonna give us some time before heading over.” He explains, green gaze lifting toward her with a small smile.
As soon as they are out the door and the lingering pressing heat from the day makes itself known fully Ira misses the cold shower already. Even though she had lived in the Drench her whole life, Kivan was just not something she ever got used to whenever it rolled in. At least they don't walk for long until they reach the place Uldren has in mind.
She looks around curiously as they enter and lets him guide her over to the booth, throwing a quick glance at the waiter that greets them and gives a small wave of her own in return. "I don't think I have seen this place before. Though I rarely visit food places other than my day job." She takes a seat in the booth and looks around at the decorations a moment longer. "I like the look, though."
The menu being offered takes her attention back to Uldren again and she gives him a small smile before looking over the listed foods. Her eyes scanning the options a few times. "I have no idea what to pick... I certainly won't be able to eat my own weight in food." She jokes and glances at Uldren from over the edge of her menu with a faint smirk. "Or I'll just close my eyes and point at something."

“It’s a bit of a hole in the wall.” Uldren offers with an amused slant to his grin, sifting through the menu as if he’s in search of something when he spies her peeking over her own menu at him. A soft chuckle slips from his lips as he rolls his shoulders, lowering the menu slightly. “The fish is good. And they’ve got some lotus themed burgers that are sort of unique.” He hums thoughtfully, before he flattens his menu to run a finger along the choices.
And while he fully intends to eat his weight in food, he still thinks he’s reasonable about it. Picking foods that wouldn’t actually end up being overbearingly filling. His finger stops on a basket of marinated crawfish that comes with a few Kivan-esque vegetables on a bed of rice, and his gaze lifts up to her. “I usually get this one.”
She looks through the menu again after the options he mentions and nods. "Seems like I can't get away with instant noodles this time." She jokes with a small chuckle and looks over to see the one he is pointing at. "Sounds interesting... As does everything else." Chewing thoughtfully on her lip, she looks through her own menu once more in a try to just make up her mind. For serving foods all days and drinks all night, she feels really lost sometimes when it comes to food options for herself.
"I'll try that lotus burger. Never had it, but it sounds good." She folds up the menu and crosses her arms on the table in front of her, leaning slightly forward on them. "You seemed familiar with the server that greeted us. Taking your captives here often?" A small teasing smirk spreads over her lips again as she tilts her head to the side and studies Uldren with a bit of a curious look.

“Take your pick, I’ve had nearly all of ‘em.” He teases, amused about the fact it’s not uncommon for him to be here. He’s already decided, however, so he spends the next few moments focusing on her and the way she chews on her lip as she thinks, the way she scans and tries to decide and eventually does, crossing her arms in the process once the menu’s folded back up. Uldren settles back, barking a laugh at the comment made of taking his captives here.
He shakes his head, casts a glance back over toward the waiter as he finishes up with a table before making note to stop by here next. “Believe it or not, I’m a bit of a homebody. I also don’t usually get a bunch’ve time to make my own food. So I stop by here, usually in that booth,” he pauses to point toward a booth taken in the corner, not unlike the one she’d found him in in her own bar, “order something small for dinner and continue working.” His green gaze slips back toward her as he arches a brow.
“It’s usually Jax’s shift, so.” He shrugs, remaining in the lounging position as the waiter stops by and greets them and raises a brow toward Uldren as he spies Ira at the table. Uldren, however, shifts his gaze toward her as well, “Jax, meet Ira. Ira, Jax.”
His laugh makes her smirk grow and her eyes narrow slightly as she follows his glance towards the waiter. She then turns her head enough to spy the booth he points out and she huffs softly. "Ah. The corner." She mumbles and amusement is back on her face when she looks back to Uldren. "Not too much different from me then, apart from actually sitting down with a proper meal." Whatever she was about to say next gets interrupted by the waiter arriving at their table.
She seems to take notice of the brow raised at Uldren and she throws him a brief glance before focusing back on Jax when Uldren introduces them. The smirk on her lips barely fading. "Hello, Jax." One of her hands lifts enough off the table for her to wiggle her fingers in a wave and she gives the waiter a quick look over, then shoots Uldren a sly glance. Is this one easily distracted too?

“Hey,” he starts to protest with a laugh. “There’s nothing wrong with the corner booths.” They were his preferred, after all. Hidden away from the rest of the noise and bustle of restaurants. More often than not, however, he wasn’t able to get one – but those times he did, he coveted them as if he’d stay there all day and night.
He still focuses as she mentions her own meals, though, his head nodding in understanding before theyre interrupted and Uldren’s attention slips over toward Jax for the introduction. ”Hey, Ira.” Comes Jax’s response, ignoring Uldren for the moment in order to focus more on Ira. ”S’not usual for m’boy here to have company. What can I get for ya?” And not even a second after he’s done, Uldren’s got a hand to his mouth, cupping it away from his lips toward Ira as if to tell her a secret that’s certainly loud enough to be heard by Jax. “He’s just jealous.” Before pulling the hand away and flashing a wink up toward Jax.
She would agree with him that there is nothing wrong with corner booths. They are indeed good to hide away in. Not that is something she has the habit of doing much at all.
Her gaze focuses on Jax again as he speaks and tries to keep a polite smile on her lips, though her eyes got that amused shine back in them. She is just about to tell what food she wants when Uldren speaks from behind his hand and her smile finally turns to that small playful smirk. She shoots Uldren another glance as if she takes the comment as a challenge, then looks back to Jax. Slowly looking the server up and down while leaning back a bit in the booth.
"Really now?" She tilts her head a bit to the side, one hand moving up to play with the chain around her neck. "Must be something with me sitting down in booths tonight." A teasing glance is sent towards Uldren and she drums her fingers against the folded menu on the table. "Well, I've already go the boy so if you could get me a lotus burger, that would be nice." Another playful smirk is directed towards the server.

Immediately upon hearing the comment Uldren makes, Jax is shooting him a glare – though there’s nothing malicious in it, a hint of amusement in his eyes that takes away from there being any true offense from it. That and the roll of his eyes is a good enough indicator as well as Uldren starts to laugh at Ira’s joke. “Gotta be.” He agrees, lips twitching in a smirk. Jax starts to stammer, however, eventually huffing a sigh before laughing and jotting it down on his little notebook he keeps with him. ”Lotus burger for Ira, got it.”
Though shortly after, Jax’s attention shifts to Uldren who doesn’t say a single thing, instead letting his green gaze focus on the other man long enough that Jax huffs another annoyed sigh. ”The usual, yeah?” And when Uldren nods, Jax jots it down before looking over toward Ira to flash her an equally polite smile before leaving.
Uldren, on the other hand, remains lounged in the seat relatively smug about the whole exchange. “Got the boy, huh?” He teases her lightly, his gaze landing back on her.
