"Tell Dr. Nate that Gale sent you, and he still owes me for the mushrooms. Except that it takes you a while to reach the clinic, and by the time you do your fever is spiking, and so instead of the requisite message you instead tell the poor soul who greets you that 'A gale'a m'shrooms sent me cus'a my hands.'" - Zephyr in Oh help me, please doctor, I'm damaged
She isn't sure either which one of them Jax might be most jealous with, but she would not blame him if it as of her. She observes Uldren from across the table again and huffs softly at herself when she thinks of how tempting it actually was to just move around to his side of the booth. Though she fears she would have little interest for the food if she did. And food was important. She sadly would not be able to sustain herself on the adrenaline rushes from kissing him. It would be a really neat ability, though...
Instead, she finally looks to her own food and reluctantly wriggles her fingers free to have both hands free to pick up the burger with. "So..." She starts and takes a small bite of the food to give herself some time to think, as she realises she is not even sure what to say. Her mind being a distracting mix of wanting Uldren and tired and finding words for just causal small talk is tricky. "How busy are your coming days?" It just was the first thought she managed to get hold of. When would there be time to catch him again after tonight.

Luckily for her, the feeling is mutual, and if it weren’t for the fact that she’d so thoroughly exhausted him, Uldren would’ve been more than happy to forgo the dinner in search of spending the entirety of the rest of the night wrapped up with her – humidity and Kivan heat be damned. But his stomach is rumbling and as she untangles her fingers from his own, he stands a better chance at pulling apart the crawfish to devour to sate his stomach.
His brows rise as his green gaze returns to her at her offered ”So…” but he doesn’t speak in the intermittent time, instead downing more of his food and some of the drink as he waits for her to continue once she’d swallowed that bite of her burger. And when she does, he swallows and flashes her an amused smile.
He doesn’t answer right away either, though, instead taking a sip of the juice drink to try and cool him off again before he finally responds. “Likely far less busy than your schedule.” Uldren finally decides on, cocking his head slightly as he picks up another piece of the crawfish. “So how busy are your coming days?” He teases back toward her, gaze focusing intensely on her face.
She chuckles at his response and shakes her head with a small smile. "That might be true." She takes another bite and washes it down with some of the water. "I work tomorrow night, then day directly after that. Then I work the two following nights... Hopefully only those. Depends on how vengeful Adrian is feeling." She rolls her eyes slightly and shrugs before continuing.
"There might be some day hours some of these days as well." A small frown forms on her face and she chews slowly on another bite while trying to work out her schedule in her head. The idea of no nights properly free for a while is a real bother. "I could go search for your booth the days I am free, if you were to be there. Since I am often out and about anyway when I am not working." She suggests. Because only a sane person would spend the day catching up on sleep.

He continues to work on his dinner while he listens to her explain her schedule, pausing as he gets it listed out in his mind. It was a complicated one, one that had him trying to fit it into his own schedule like a puzzle piece. “So you’re free for the night day after next, then in the daytime the next two?” He asks, trying to get the days straight in his head.
He still barks a laugh at the reminder of Adrian, following it up with a long deep sip of his drink before he huffs a slight sigh and a playful wince. “Hopefully not too vengeful.” He wonders if he’d even be welcome back in that bar, depending on the way Adrian felt about him. Either way, he picks up another piece of food and sort of waves it in front of him to help with his explanation.
“I’m usually at the booth from early afternoon to about five, usually when tourists are around the most.” And when he wasn’t, he was still working. Just… Elsewhere. “I wouldn’t mind the company.” He flashes her another wink, before popping the food into his mouth.
She closes her eyes while he repeats the schedule back to her, as if she too is struggling to keep track of it. And she is. Especially with her head not being completely in focus due to fatigue, heat and what ever else. "Free day tomorrow, working night tomorrow, working day and night after tomorrow and the night after that... Then I should at least have a whole day and night free. I think. She opened her eyes, shakes her head slowly and has a drink of the fruit juice.
"Mhm, I wonder if he's going to have me work every night for the rest of the season to make up for tonight." A small smirk flashes on her lips. "Maybe if I give him too many details he'll become so uncomfortable he lets me off the hook for a while" She teases and narrows her eyes to give Uldren a sly look over the edge of her glass. She probably will not give Adrian much details at all should he be nosy about it. But it is an amusing thought to see just how uncomfortable she could make him until he stops being nosy.
She has a few more bites of food and nods along with Uldren's explanation of when he is at the booth. "So, even if I were to work both day and night, I might still be able to stop by for a bit in between to at least hang out for a while. She gives him a wink back and another sly smirk. "I promise to behave and not scare your customers away."

A rumble slips from his throat at the realization that he’d gotten mixed up — her schedule far more complicated than he’d originally thought. But as she mentions when her next day should be free, he nods, swallowing down a bite. “We can aim for that one then?” He asks, head tilting as he nearly waits for her answer only to hear the potential things Adrian could do to her for today.
He does laugh at the mention of details and how it would make Adrian uncomfortable enough to keep her from being forced to work every night, a realization that if he were try to do that, Uldren would certainly have something to say about that. “Well if he did, he’s just asking for me to come and rescue you again.” He huffs a laugh and settles again, meaning every word of it.
As for hanging out with him at his booth and promising to behave, his smile shifts toward a smirk again and he hides it by taking a long sip of his drink. “It would be kind of funny to see the Plater’s response if you didn’t. Imagine their horror.” Be can't help the amusement from shining in his gaze and along his face.
The schedule is a puzzle. One that she has gotten used to over the last couple of years working two jobs at once. The hope is to be able to get by on one eventually, but for now, she has decided to settle on holding on to what she has for the sake of at least having a steady income. The main issue is that neither of the jobs have a stable schedule. Working the hours when she is needed and often not knowing far in advance when it would be.
A small chuckle leaves her and she picks a bit with her food, the smirk still playing on her lips. "I can always threaten him with that if he tries." She suspects Adrian would mostly just find it amusing. He is not one for taking things too serious unless it is actually required of him. They did have a sort of friendship established and she had some wriggle room as long as she doesn't try to take advantage of it too much. "As long as you buy a drink or two every now and then, you might get away with it."
She can't help but laugh more at the mental image of horrified Platers and amusement flashes in her eyes as well. "I can imagine it and it almost makes it tempting to not behave just to mess with them." She gives Uldren's leg a light tug with her own under the table and hides a grin behind her glass. While she rarely tries to cause actual trouble, messing with people in a teasing way is well within her limits. Besides, making Platers uncomfortable surely isn't a crime. She shakes her head slowly at the ideas and has another drink.
"But, we can aim for that next free day. I'll do what I can to avoid any surprise hours at the diner so I can go track you down."

Her chuckle and agreement has him brightening, a small crooked grin forming on his face at her own threatening and just how Uldren might be able to get away with it. He takes those little mental notes and files them away for later when he can think about it a bit more. “I think that I can manage that.” A few drinks here and then if it meant being able to sneak Ira away upon occasion – perhaps a feat easier when Drenak hits and it’s far less of an attempt for people to get out into some semblance of cool air.
As for her showing up to his booth and them horrifying the Platers as they walked by, the crooked grin remains and Uldren can’t help but to let the soft laugh break from his lips, breaking it up with a sip of water in the hopes it might cool him off a bit more. “The next free day it is.” He agrees, humming another soft laugh. “And maybe if you need rescuing you could send me a text.” He has a bit more flexibility with his choice of work, after all.
Smiling in amusement over the little rescuing plans, Ira turns back to what is left of her food for a moment. Despite managing to keep up her teasing nature, she could feel the weariness creeping in more and more. It had been quite the day with everything, plus the heat and now the amount of food. It is the perfect combination to make anyone tired. Especially when she was not active on her feet, it makes it much harder to just push through.
She takes a drink of the water, more to try and keep her head clear than to cool off, and glances back to Uldren when he says she can text him for rescuing if she needs to. A small smirk forms on her lips yet again. "Smooth way to ask for my number, eh?" She responds in a teasing manner, but then chuckles softly with a smile. "But it sounds like a good idea." She shoots him a wink and switches from her water to drink up the last that is in the glass of fruit punch.

He’s nearly finished his meal, doing exactly as he’d told her he’d do the second they got here — practically eating his weight in it. There’s a piece of the crawfish left and Uldren uses it to point toward her when she figures out his motives, flashing her a playful grin. “I thought it was extremely creative, thank you.” He teases her lightly, letting another laugh slip from him before he finishes off his food and pushes the plate aside, reaching for his water now.
“I do think it’s gonna make it easier either way.” He teases her again before he’s leaning forward so he can pull out his phone, getting it set up before he hands it to her to input herself into. It’s an older style of phone but one that would likely survive anything, with a multitude of buttons for a keyboard. And while she adds her number in, Uldren pulls out a few pieces of clinking lasti to pay for their meals and sets it on the table.
